Through AA I learned an interesting thing about owning up to the behaviors you own. They don't weigh nearly as heavy on you.
I think a very real part of guilt is a sub-category I think of as Camouflage. We work hard to keep our transgressions secret, especially from those we want to love and respect us. Because we hide guilty secrets we cannot act freely and honestly because just under the surface we can hear that faint chant..."If they/he/she ever found out..."
Good for you. I hope you sleep more peacefully and stand a little taller.

@Peaches Big fish in little ponds. Plus alcoholic behaviors without alcohol.

@Mamapolo2016 Some of them were called "AA Guru's" and "dry drunks." It got rough at times, haha!😯😁

@Peaches Glad you stuck it out. Dry drunk = rectum with no excuse
The power of an apology is so enormously underestimated and undervalued. Good for you for being wise.
