If a grown man just plays video games all day, collects stuffed animals catches random fits would you consider him “special”?

Sounds like intense autism.

If he doesn't have some kind of mental health issue then I would say he needs a good ass kicking and to grow the hell up.
I'd say he might have social issues and finds comfort in stuffed toys reminding him of the childhood he still clings into. Maybe a mother who emotionally blackmailed him with her smothering ways and died leaving him alone to lead an extremely sad life.

Or he's just a boy/man who loves video games and is surrounded by the stuffed toys his exes threw back at him when they found out he couldn't commit!

Oh, not sure about the fits.

Child. Developmentally hobbled. Probably made that way by a long line of likewise progenitors.

I would think, special needs

Everyone is special. Just need to be the right kind of special on your same level and that you can tolerate but I try not to judge too harshly.
