@4meAndyou I am not familiar with him stepping down and allowing Thor to be God of war. I know after losing his hand to Fenrir that he was no longer really fit for his position, So it would make sense But was not aware of the title being awarded to Thor officially

@Torsten "The Norse god Tyr was believed to be the son of Odin, making him a half-sibling to the powerful gods that ruled the realms. Tyr was not a well-known member of the Aesir tribe but he is considered to be one of the oldest gods of Germanic peoples and was responsible for the formalities of war, such as treaties or favoring justice."

"Tyr’s role as one of the principal war gods of the Norse, along with Odin and Thor, is well-attested in sources from the Viking Age and earlier. For example, in the Sigrdrífumál, one of the poems in the Poetic Edda, the valkyrie Sigrdrifa instructs the human hero Sigurd to invoke Tyr for victory in battle.[3] Another Eddic poem, the Lokasenna, corroborates this picture by having Loki insult Tyr by saying that he could only stir people to strife, and could never reconcile them.[4]"
