Some refined man provoked a question in my mind. Is it better to create a digital world, and eventually upload the brain to computers. OR. Would it be better to focus on space travel, terraforming, and solar system colonization to escape our dying Sun (or any other planetary threat) someday?

My vote is to focus on interstellar/intergalactic travel. If earth gets swallowed or at best scorched by the expanding sun, not even our digital consciousness would survive.

@ShadowWolf Nuclear fusion, fair voting and world peace are also being worked on without much progress; and the proliferation of internet-based fake news has become "a thing". Not every thing is a good thing.
