Do you wear sunscreen?

I think it's really dangerous. It's stupid to protect yourself from the sun. It's magical and there for a reason. I live in an arabic country( where i suppose that the sun burns at its highest degrees) and i stopped wearing it since I was 16. Now even if get a sunburn, it wouldn't harm me.
I can say that exposure to sun was benificial for me, stop hiding like lab rats and go feel its magic everyday. You weren't created to stay in an air conditioned box protected from everything
I cannot even begin to consider how to address the level of stupidity in this post.

@CorvusBlackthorne another lab rat talking 😝lemme guess, do you also prefer cocaine over food

It’s harmful to us fair - light skinned people this is a very insensitive post on so many levels. Before you say it .. no I am not saying sunscreen is good for you but it’s a lot better than sun burns and skin cancer it’s a real thing read up on it please.

@NerdyPotato yea I'm just against chemicals
@Hassan why though? Everything has a chemical name, but that doesn't mean it comes from a lab, let alone that it's bad. And not everything from nature is good either. There are plenty of toxic plants and venomous animals.

Agreed lol to consider his point of view chemicals are bad in large amounts but so is anything and people use chemicals everyday and it’s in everything. It truly is next to impossible to avoid. Just don’t drink the anti freeze in the garage.@NerdyPotato
You have a darker pigment to your skin. Those with lighter skin tone are more susceptible to getting skin cancer.

I mean sun exposure is important in moderation for vitamin D production which is vital for our general health. The sun is not evil if you respect it.

However, skin type is an important factor as well. That's why you see that indigenous people in sunny places are naturally born with darker skin to provide high protection.

With colonizations resulting in light-skinned people moving to sunny areas, the prevalence of skin cancer has increased. That's why sun-screen is necessary for those.

For those with dark olive/tan skin on long summer days it can get too much, so yeah it's recommended. Even if the risk of skin cancer is low for us, it still exists with long exposure. I for one has never had a sunburn – but I wear sunscreen in spring/summer mostly to delay wrinkles + prevent sun spots.

@SW-User I'm against the usage of chemicals 😬

I see. For me it's fine. People live much longer now even with chemicals as compared to previous years when their use was minimal . Also medications (which are chemicals for example) have saved many people I know. So yeah.

Cancer is natural too
Though you can still get skin cancer and the sun ages your skin because it basically cooks it.
Yes and you're young but prolonged sun exposure is dangerous. Some sun exposure is healthy. It gives you vitamin D. @Hassan

@Spoiledbrat just don't spend too much time in the sun. But don't put poison on your skin
Do you mean sunblock? @Hassan
How do you know a sunburn isn't harming you? It's well researched that this is the most common cause of skin cancer...
Hassan · 22-25, M
@NerdyPotato yes nature Will harm you but chemicals that i can't even spell its names are good for you 🥵
@Hassan some are indeed. A complicated name doesn't make something harmful and a simple name doesn't make something safe. Take the chemical composition of an apple vs cyanide for example.

I have incredibly fair skin, sunscreen isn't optional - I never want to get sun poisoning again.

Brown privilege?
I actually don't spend excess time in the sun but when I used to I did. I used to like Neutrogena because of it's non greasy texture.
