Why are there no Aussies or Kiwis in outer-space?

American actors play American characters. British actors play British characters. Americans can speak British if their character needs to be old-school and a bit intellectual. meh. Aussies in space speak American. Because of reasons.

@Elessar I don't speak Italian but I believe the Roman accent is a bit like our cockney. Totti's accent was mocked a lot, right?

@Burnley123 Pretty much, yes. And yes, I was actually thinking of Totti's accent in particular when I wrote the previous comment 😅 it's one of my favourite sublanguages/accents by far.

This guy made a pretty solid comparison of the sounds of the various accents, Rome/Lazio is at 4:00 😆 (plus bonus he's from Rome himself)

@Burnley123 Scottie was a canuck, but lived most of his life in the US. When he retired, he moved to Redmond, Washington, and was a regular at my local grocery store.
