[c=#000000]A kayaker was videotaping humpback whales while sitting among whale-watching boats in Monterey Bay when he suddenly found himself much too close to the action.
Two whales attacked a school of anchovies and David Rogers was right in the middle of it as one whale breached and another rolled on its side nearly capsizing his kayak.
The incident occurred earlier this month about half a mile off California's Moss Landing where whales congregate to feed, much to the delight of whale watchers, who are supposed to remain 100 yards from the whales. Apparently Rogers couldn't help it as the bait came his way and so did the whales.
