Crews lighten load to free Lake Michigan freighter stuck in sand outside Muskegon’s harbor

The 767-foot, self-unloading freighter was carrying about 25,000 tons of stone from Port Inland, Michigan, when it grounded Thursday, April 28, as it was approaching Muskegon’s harbor.
