Discussing Spankings Now

Two weeks ago my sister and her hubby visited me and my wife. The subject of discipline was raised as we were all spanked growing up. My sister said ask Jay our father could have won a gold medal if there was a spanking event at the Olympics!! We all laughed and my wife replied yes I know all about those events!! Has this ever came up with family members or close friends for those that grew up in the spanking era?
