Spankings Overheard

I grew up in a small Canadian town in the spanking era. Spankings were common and often discussed. I started dating my wife in High School and knew that her parents spanked as she knew my parents did as well. Two occasions I was over at her house when her sister got a spanking. The first one when I was over for dinner and her sister was having an attitude and called her mother a "bitch". Her father immediately got up from the table and grabbed her by her arm and marched her into her room. Their house was a large bungalow and we were in the dining room. Well after a few minutes you could hear the sound of a bare bottom spanking and crying. Well I knew from my girlfriend that her father spanked over his knee with his hand always on the bare bum! Needless to say it was a long hard spanking and she stayed in her room for the rest of the night. My girlfriend just gave me a raised eyebrow.
The second one was a time I was over watching TV with and their mother and sister returned from shopping and you could tell the mother was not happy. She dragged her into their parents bedroom and gave her a spanking. My gf said that when her mother spanks it is always in the parents room with a hairbrush but still over the knee bare bum. I asked who spanks harder and she says "Oh Dad"!!
Now vice versa she was over at my house a few times where my sister was getting a spanking. I still tease my now SIL about those spankings I heard her get!! Anyone else overhear spankings?
