Should capital punishment be banned????

@tallpowerhouseblonde I love you dearly, but factually both your arguments are false. In the US it costs far more to execute someone (the appeals, prison for years) than imprison for life, and it simply is not a deterrent--the US executes people and has a very high rate of shootings and murders...people in a mental state to murder or commit a violent crime simply have not shown to be thinking of the consequences...plus, in the US DNA testing over the last ten years or so has turned up and number of innocent people on death row...I would even argue the government condoning killing (death penalty) helps add to a violent society that does not value human life...and has more violent crime as a result!

@Docdon23 I didn't say anything about appeals or talk about anything other than keeping down the cost of paying for a prisoner long term.This is how it should work:
Guilty verdict, sentence to death, carried out immediately.Done with.Use DNA evidence to help convict....and have the entire population DNA tested and on a database.Huge increase in crime solving and conviction.Stuff anyone that does not think of consequences before committing a crime.
