I read an article that a Walgreens employee can refuse to sell condoms to a customer because of the employee’s religious beliefs.

First off, I didn't know that is a thing. But aside from that, I hope I never get with a guy who doesn't want to wear a condom because of their religious beliefs or they don't like wearing one at all because even the most loyal or religious people cheat and sexually transmitted infections/diseases are a thing.

the only workers' rights americans have are the rights to be a conservative shitbag

It's true surprisingly. The employee is supposed to refer the customer to another employee to complete the transaction.
There is a boycott of Walgreens now because of this.
You can insist men wear a condom when they have sex with you although personally I prefer men not to wear condoms sex feels so much better.

@tallpowerhouseblonde what if the director of public health gets religion?
tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
@MarineBob He can join every religion on the planet if he wants as long as he keeps his unwanted opinion away from me.

It's silly af how religious bs is still exalted in society. Everyone else has to work around the nonsense
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@deadgerbil guess it's okay to ask about religion on job applications now
@MarineBob It's probably not, but you should, imo, be able to get away with asking if they have religious beliefs that might interfere with their ability to do the job they're applying for.

A Walgreens employee can refuse to sell condoms to a customer because of the employee’s religious beliefs. But they must refer the customer to another employee or manager on duty who can complete the transaction.

So, the guy does. not have an excuse. If he says it's against his religion to use a condom, then certainly, his religion forbids pre/extra-marital sex. I got a jar of condoms for my daughter's dorm room.
I’d say if this is true the employee should be released from his employment.
I would have to believe a chain such as Walgreens has policies that cover such things, lest they violate local, state or federal laws, and such information is passed on to new hires.

🤫 are these employee catholic by any chance .think this is rather magnanomous of the employees where they respect the rights of someones religious belief. some employee may not see it as sympathetically as if they are losing money because of this [autumn25]

I knew it was a thing, but it's one I have mixed feelings about. In this case, the employee reportedly handled it in a way that Walgreens has called the customers and apologized for.

if an an employee refuses a sale of what I'm selling someone is unemployed
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
@MarineBob yes it's called sales as in trying to sell things and make money lol
I'm just bloody getting a vasectomy and am confident am clean of STDS owing to being inexperienced in that space.

Also Am loyal but not necessarily sexually exclusive and those concepts are distinct to me.

Like once a woman musician for instance has me hooked its for life and I will STILL Be interested even when it's been 8 years since your last album and most of the other fans are gone because you've not been releasing for the better half of a decade.

It's your right and decision not to wear a condom, but you cannot take away that right from someone else.

Things are getting out of hand.. humans are not taking any direction in life. We are a fail society and species. We are our own end. Im not talkkng about stupid religion thats part or the prob too. Catholics are the new nazis.
@Chelsiegirl I’m Catholic and not taken aback by your last sentence, but it does paint with a broad brush.
So I ask you being you identify as a transgender; if you went to a bakery say, and asked for a wedding cake that displayed something reflecting a transgender lifestyle ( I’m not criticizing) and were told they would not make such a cake, would they too, be the new nazis? It has happened.
Chelsiegirl · 46-50, T
@soar2newhighs well i hate cake 1st off. Thats there choice and i would respect it but i would make shure everyone knows not to go there for that reason.. i would just simply bring my money some place else..
Then they should be fired if they can't do their job.
