A Little Election History To Keep In Mind

Twelve years ago, there had been 10 presidential polls in the prior week. Five of those favored Mitt Romney in the 2012 election. Four favored incumbent President Obama, and one was tied. We all know what happened--Obama won handily with 332 electoral votes to Romney's 206.

Don't pay too much attention to the current polls regarding Trump and President Biden. Start paying attention in September or October.

I'd like to think that with how wrong polls have been over the past couple of decades people would just discount them. But they don't. It's become a sport. Which team is winning. The drag is that I think it deters people from voting. "My vote doesn't matter." And that's just so so wrong.

Good point! Elections are won on the margins and largely in swing states. Also concentrate on suburban women, youth, and which campaign is better organized at the grassroots level.
