Americans, I’m one of those foreigners who wish you would return to your pre 1960s stability. But what is it going to take?

@WintaTheAngle You’re right, it’s really not. Similarly, I’ve read about the UK, have friends and family there, and have even been. But it’s not like living there and experiencing day to day life. And I remember when Margaret Thatcher, whom I suspect I wouldn’t have liked, was in office.

@RoxClymer That may be so. I’m no expert in American history. But as a NATO member, as someone who has served in the military with Americans, I would like to see he domestic issues clear and a new ficus on the world stage that the US used to hold.

@WintaTheAngle that's kinda the problem, half the country wants a bigger military half the country thinks we need to stop playing 'big brother' and fix our internal shit, and it's just causing more internal shit.

@RoxClymer I sympathise with the view to solve your domestic issues. First and foremost, America should be a happy and prosperous home for Americans.
