If there is a nuclear war...

Do we still have to pay income and property taxes?
What about our other monthly bills?
Probably won't be able to say that the check is in the mail.
Oh, but this is why the internet suite of protocols was invented: to provide for a system which could survive a huge attack.

TCP--the Transmission Control Protocol, at the Transport Layer--was designed to provide reliable transport over a potentially unreliable medium. (This is different from UDP, which has no guarantee of delivery.)

But if all sorts of devastation occurs, command, control and communication are all going to suffer, and government and other organization will also be a mess.

And the scrambling to survive will be amazingly awful...

@SomeMichGuy most likely I'll be within ground zero. But yeah, the emp will kill teslas cars for sure. Internet, phones, electricity, water... wouldn't want to be in the desert sw. East coast will be gone first.
@Tastyfrzz Yes. If you haven't seen Boston, NYC, etc., down to WDC...oh well.

Of course, a nuclear winter would be a hard reset for the whole planet, too.

@SomeMichGuy if they explode above ground the winter scenario is low but whst the probably do is arm the bombs on the planes so if they get shot down you get a massive emp up around the pole to prevent icbms from crossing. It's the canadians that will get the blast effects.

Just remember, you can always eat earthworms and you don't even have to cook them.
