Putin has shown himself to be a madman, so I take the threat seriously.
ExperienceDLT 路 M
@Human1000 it damn well should get taken seriously especially with China backing Russia as well those two together are a threat to any countries that oppose them

There is a theory that even if a country with nukes was attached by nukes, that there should be no response. Why kill millions more people?

Washington DC to destroy the government structure any states with oil or natural resources and states with military bases
ravenwind43 路 51-55, F
High population areas mainly and government. Depends on various scenarios how much is gone, such as the difference between a tactical or a strategic missile. Depending on weather conditions, NY could be taken out while parts of NJ remained unscathed. If the wind is favorable most of the most contaminates will fall out over the water..etc.

Swear to god, Americans are itching to get attacked so that all the troops and military tech can be let loose.
As for the nuke strike, it doesn't matter, no one has enough nukes to destroy every US military base.

If the US was attacked, It would be an all-out war. North America would be gone, so would Russia, China, North Korea and Europe.
Diotrephes 路 70-79, M
Always target the population centers, dams, heavy industrial sites, transportation centers and then fixed military bases.

Washington and NYC

Military bases, government centers, and ports, most likely
BackyardShaman 路 61-69, M
They will first attack where we have military bases, strategic arms buildups, command centers. Then they would attack larger population centers. We would be counter attacking in a similar way, but a lot would depend on what the members of the Trump administration and other GOP members gave Russia in information about our defense mechanisms, they likely have some of our codes and can disable our countermeasures.

If nuclear war broke out we are all dead.
But it is because Russia has them that Ukraine has been left helpless.
And if Ukraine had not been forced to give up the ones that they inherited from the Soviet Union this war would not be happening.
The USA will not fire one at Russia ( not first anyway)-but i fear Putin -who is clearly insane-would be mad enough.
And it would be aimed at Washington to take out the government.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales Nuclear doesn't work that way. It doesn't mean all are dead from direct blast. Lots of factors vary in.
Diotrephes 路 70-79, M
@ravenwind43 The US used to drop nukes on American and Canadian troops. And Mississippi got nuked a couple of times.
Human1000 路 M
@TheSirfurryanimalWales Interestingly, the Soviet Union did not have strike first contingency plans, but the US did.
