There's also an alternative: stop depending on a fuel that should've started to be phased out 30 years ago and is controlled by dictatorial regimes and increasingly produce your own energy from nuclear plants and renewables

@Elessar as I said it was a necessary evil. You do what you have to do to stay afloat and then try to figure out how to dig yourself out afterwards.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@justanothername Was it necessary? Or did it become necessary, because the world as a whole didn't want to act preventively, sacrificing short term gains to prevent a long term disaster that eventually, predictably and inevitably hit in full force?
The oil situation is the very same. Let's not get surprised when the sh*t will once again touch an even bigger fan

@Elessar Covid was a mixed bag and various leaders had different approaches to it when meant a very inconsistent outcome.
The other issue we haven is that on top of recovering economically from the impact of Covid we also have far reaching economic sanctions against Russia coupled with an oil price crisis which is effectively creating the perfect crap storm. You will never have a rebuilding or strong economy as long as you have a large scale war happening. If you want to revive your economy, first you have to end the war and lift the sanctions.

That war will last. The oligarths and sociopaths who own and govern the US are making money from weapons and increased prices of food and fuel.

@Crazywaterspring Yes, the war in Ukraine is Russia, and only Russia's fault. So how do we get them to quit their unprovoked war?

Open the gates for nato and kill rssa in 3 days. Then free gas for life.
justanothername · 51-55, M
@Dan193 ok
justanothername · 51-55, M
@Dan193 The only way the gates can open for NATO is if/when Russia attacks a NATO member. Ukraine is not a member of the EU. They are applying for membership. Even sped up the process takes years. That’s why Russia is not moving past Ukraine.

Once again you're wrong we were a net exporter of oil when when Biden took office Biden just said at a closed door speech the other day look it up online that he stopped oil production in the United States. That's why your oil price is so high.

Thats not going to work.. The energy companies will take up a good portion of the slack and those cheap prices are never coming back.. Work out how to get off the grid or make most of your own power..😷

Zelensky said we should end the war for the climate.

I've got an idea how to end the war in Ukraine. It involves half a dozen cruise missiles and a homing beacon planted in Vladimir Putin's ass.
