Well historically he died in Babylon. Supposedly, Babylon was in Iraq. Supposedly though his body was preserved in order to. Move it out of Babylon on its way to Alexandria it was buried in Memphis Egypt and then years later rebutted in Alexandria. However all this is according to stories which could be incorrect.

Not sure if anyone knows. There are lots of stories about it being in Alexandria and his corpse being there for centuries. One story has a Roman Emperor (or maybe general?) accidentally breaking the nose off the corpse. But I believe the corpse disappeared centuries -- maybe millennia -- ago and the crypt lost?
