About conspiracy theories

This is sort of my amusement about contemporary conspiracy theories.

Government is ineffective, inefficient. People are idiots, incompetent. Nobody can keep a secret, everyone blabs, spies. There is no coherent plan to anything.

Also.

There is a hiddeous plot orchestrated across all levels of government by a group of elite who control everything down to your very conception of reality. It's so secret it's even secret to the state itself.

Also.

It's on the internet. Watch this YouTube video.

Baudrillard said it. And current events support it. People who truly get close to dark secrets just disappear.

@CopperCicada Jean Baudrillard said what, please?
@helenS I'm extrapolating a bit. I was always struck my his remarks in relation to Simulation and Simulacra, that we seem to assassinate our leaders that step outside of simulation. Maybe that doesn't apply to the poor bloke that manages to spill the secret of secrets. But it seems it was would.

Yes. No doubt many of us have had very similar thoughts about many conspiracy theories. Most especially about some of the ones in recent years, as in past 20, and now.

Yeah, but most conspiracy theories claim someone did spill, just the media isn't covering it, because they're part of the cover up.

So how do we explain when a conspiracy theory gets pulled off!?

Do you think all conspiracy theories are wrong or do you believe some have turned out to be correct?
