Pentagon Admits It Has No Idea Who’s on “Drug Boats” Being Bombed A Democratic lawmaker revealed the shocking detail after a Pentagon briefing for mem

The Trump administration has admitted that they are not trying to identify anyone aboard boats they accuse of sending drugs to the U.S. before bombing the vessels.

Speaking to CNN Thursday, Democratic Representative Sara Jacobs said she was told in a Pentagon briefing “that they do not need to positively identify individuals on the vessel to do the strikes” and that was part of the reason why the administration has not sought to detain or prosecute the survivors of the strikes, “because they could not satisfy the evidentiary burden.”

As far as the legal justification the White House is using to blow up boats in the waters surrounding Latin America, that information has only been available to select Republicans.

“There’s nothing that we heard in there that changes my assessment that this is completely illegal, that it is unlawful and even if Congress authorized it, it would still be illegal because there are extrajudicial killings where we have no evidence,” Jacobs said, adding that she was told that the only drug targeted in the strikes so far was cocaine, which Pentagon officials called “a facilitating drug of fentanyl.”

The U.S. has killed at least 61 people in more than a dozen airstrikes on boats in the western hemisphere that it claims are smuggling drugs and are part of “designated terrorist organizations.” The attacks have prompted criticism from countries in the region, including Colombia, Venezuela, and Mexico, and several of the people killed in the strikes have been identified as fishermen.

Even some Republicans in Congress, such as Representative Mike Turner and Senator Rand Paul, have expressed misgivings about the strikes, with Paul calling them “extrajudicial killings.” Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth seem to be planning to go even further, with the president bragging that he wants to begin strikes on land and Hegseth moving 14 percent of the U.S. Navy fleet to the Caribbean Sea. It seems that a war has been declared in all but name.

Assuming for a moment that each and every one of these boats is in fact a drug hauling boat. (If so I have little problem with them being dealt with in this manner) It strikes me as odd that it is not Democrat Senators speaking out on the issue of international law and human rights, but two strongly right wing senators. And it got me wondering if maybe those cartels have a multi linked funding connection to the donations for re election of these people??😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Given the current state of the Senate and Congressmen who tag themselves Republicans, I am GLAD the Republicans are clearly and vocally speaking out against these acts of war vs terror!

tRUMP and Kegsbreath must see that they don’t have the votes to make these actions “legal.”

@KunsanVeteran I agree. But evidence suggests that wont stop them..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Not just “evidence”—their tract record!

As I stated immediately when we first heard of their first strike: their fabricated cover story had more holes than tRUMP’s fake description of his January 6th insurrection!

First, the military does not routinely do drug interdiction—that’s the role of the Coast Guard and law enforcement. Initially they said that they fired “warning shots” across the bow of the boat (complete fabrication as we now know a drone struck the boat with no warning, no attempt to stop them for a search & surrender), there was no probable cause, absolutely no justification for the use of deadly force).

These are, indeed, acts of extrajudicial murder and are in violation of the laws of armed combat. tRUMP and Kegsbreath have made our own military forces legitimate targets for attack and retaliation!

@KunsanVeteran I agree with every word you said. American credibility on any subject is effectlvelyt zero at this point. And Americans globally are now "legitimate" targets because of it..Not that the administration cares..I still see this as provocation; hoping for a response that can be used to suspend freedoms and take control..😷
@whowasthatmaskedman Certainly! This is the international version of what Demented Donnie is doing to the Blue cities and states.

Face it: the MAGAts have elected a terrorist and he has put a target on every American’s back.

If he’s so concerned about cocaine flooding America, maybe he should start with his own sons!

@KunsanVeteran To be fair, I think Eric is that way naturally...😷
@whowasthatmaskedman I am specifically referring to a video released earlier this weak by Junior—and many of his other videos.

@KunsanVeteran And if the rumours are true, that coke head might be the next VP when Vance takes over..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Several Democrats have called out these murders....but because Rand Paul and others are speaking up, it gets more attention because they're bucking Trump.

@JSul3 OK. I havent seen that reported here. So that supports your statement..😷
@JSul3 We need as many Republicans on board as possible. Unfortunately, few are willing to stand up to Demented Donnie to actually work in their constituents best interests.

@KunsanVeteran The Republican Party is dead. It is now 100% the Party of Trump, where no voice of dissent is allowed and those who do not bow down and pledge total loyalty to Dear Felon Leader, are quickly dispatched.

Trump voters in red states are waking up to the fact they're losing their SNAP and ACA benefits, and they're not happy.

If Democrats make a strong showing in the election next week, it may be the catalyst that ends the shutdown.
