'That's awesome!': Homeless people in Brockton react to mayor's veto of anti-camping law.

People who are homeless in the city were pleased that the mayor vetoed the ordinances, which would impose a $200 fine for anyone camping on public land and a $50 fine for loitering. The ordinances marked the first attempt by city councilors to curb the rising homelessness crisis in Brockton.

Homelessness and traffic control is a huge problem in my state I didn't have a chance to read the article but I hope he comes up with something that will help control the problem it's truly sad everyone deserves a home and a safe place to rest their head at night.

@Souls We were just watching the city commissioners fight over this. Each side insists that it's an "either-or" question, but it really is "both".

People are homeless for a variety of reasons and there is no single solution. A good first step may be to differentiate between homeless drug addicts and those who are homeless for other reasons.
They’re planning on doing the same thing here. I’m not sure where people are supposed to go.

@LeopoldBloom They are supposed to remain out of sight and out of mind. They are not supposed to be public reminders of our societal failures.
