To an extent but this never should've been up for debate by the supreme court or thrown into the hands of states

@deadgerbil This right here, my thoughts exactly. I'm happy for Kansas but it never should have come to this.
@deadgerbil Agreed.

@deadgerbil They're great at raising money and fielding very good candidates. I'm beginning to think they really don't want to win elections.

I say leave it up to us women. Dont make it illegal.

Nope! What they haven't said is far more telling. Like does a baby have a right to life. It's all in the wording. So which will take precedence?

Laws are always dependent on wording. That's what lawyers do.

A lawyer can tear up a law and make it totally ineffective. Especially if the law was made based on intent.

Republicans are renowned for letter of the law! That's why Roe versus Wade was overturned to begin with.

They refuse to consider the intent of the constitution or the spirit of the law.

Wow. That's surprising! That has to piss off the Trump voters so bad 😂

It makes me feel optimistic on two fronts. It recognized the right of women to make healthcare decisions for themselves, and it was done in a red state. Whenever the people (the majority of) win, we all win.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
A bit, but I'm sure the GOPers will try to overthrow the decision somehow.

Good. Now if only the other states would follow suit...
That’s definitely encouraging. It’s becoming a case of the states that respect the rights of girls and women vs those states that don’t.

Sounds cold.
"Toto, i have a feeling we arent in kansas anymore"

Its ironic that kansas has done this. Good for them for holding on to sanity. Some people have lost their souls to the red flag . I see it here : all people who dont need abortion , or are well off , mouthing opinions on what they will never face, or have a private medical net for .
