Italians wait for rain while longest river dries up... Ernie

As droughts, floods, wildfires, windstorms and heat domes worsen worldwide, climate legislation is still stalled in Congress with no Republican support. I guess oil lobby money speaks louder than the science.

Republicans will never ever champion the good of the planet and it's people over money.

We're all going to die.
Will we still be rich?
Yes but you'll be dead.
But we'll be rich and dead, whereas other people will be poor and dead.

@GeniUs true, but we are just borrowing the Earth. We need to turn it over in livable condition for future Generations including our own progeny.
The USA going totally green would only make a 1% change. China keeps building coal burning electrical plants.

@lovebeingasissy False. Actually China is making quite a large investment in clean energy. China relies on the snowpack in the Himalayas for water. China is wary of floods and droughts also.

Not surprised as sadly what you say is true , money speaks louder than words .

About 4 in 10 registered voters say a candidate's position on global warming will be a "very important" factor in determining who they vote for in the 2022 congressional elections, according to a new report from the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication.

@GrinNude In other words, the minority
GrinNude · 61-69, C
@summersmiles That 40% along with all the additional people concerned about women's rights, probably make up enough of a majority to make a difference. I am hopeful.

It's hard to understand the science when your mind is befuddled by oil lobby money.
