These are official government figures

...only, the media never mention them. It begs the question - what else are our friendy journalists failing to tell us? Worrying. And so irresponsible! No wonder people are cancelling their BBC / TV licences in droves. And no wonder moronic Johnson is haemhorraging support, as shown in his resounding by-election defeat in a previously safe seat yesterday

And your purpose?

Anti-vaccination campaign? Or anti-UK?

BTW I have no idea of the origin and veracity about your claim about the TV licence but you don't need a licence to listen to the News on any radio channel in Britain including the BBC - which I do and I trust far more than I'd trust a commercial or government-owned channel allowed or made to be its proprietor's voice. Which all manner of posts from Americans on this esteemed web-site suggests the case in your country.

(Though I believe you do also have public-service, independent broadcasters too.)

The so-called "licence" incidentally, amounts to being a subscription to a wide range of TV+radio channels and programmes - and unlike the full, 1-channel subscription TV networks, costs less than a pint of beer a week.

As for that by-election I will excuse your misunderstanding there because I understand that what was not so well reported, was that there were more votes for the Liberal-Democrats from disenchanted Labour than Conservative, supporters.

Which would be natural because the Lib-Dems present themselves as a sort of "Labour Light", left-leaning but rather vague; and they rarely do very well in General Elections. They were formed from an alliance of disenchanted Labour and former-Liberal Party politicians.

Why, I am not sure. I don't think it's over dealing with the pandemic though, because although the parties and individual MPs often disagree strongly on details, they agree broadly; and thankfully, most politicians of all parties have largely been above making the disease a mere party-political weapon.

@WalterF Did we become unfriended? I did drop out for 3 years.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@GeniUs No no, I don't think we were ever friends. I was friends with AM, but I stopped that friendship as it wasn't real any more once we went head to head on pandemic issues. (Check out my profile / about me, anyway)
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@GeniUs I beg Walter's pardon in that case.

As for your accusation of the BBC sheltering a paedophile (I assume you mean James Saville), yes that was wrong - of course. That is not a reason to condemn tthe whole thing ot its work though.

Your figures do not show which party has gained and which has lost - after all, we have rather a lot of them!

Much as I was interested (not vaccinated myself) I trust this site:
https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/vaccinations

These are Gov figures whether accurate or not I can't say. I was linked to this from the Office For National Stats site which I trust since they called out Cameron (PM) for lying about reducing The National Debt.
I quit trusting experts, when the first Iraqi war started.

@Entwistle You don't need to be a virologist or any kind of -ist to understand that human nature is corrupt, and when there is big big money to be had, morals go out thd window for many, especially for those who are already super-rich.

Hence Fauci's ceaseless efforts to outlaw cheap treatments to stop covid deaths, just so that he could line the pockets of himself, his bedfellow Gates, and Big Pharma who really have hit the jackpot here.
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@WalterF Gates gives billions away to good causes.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@Entwistle Causes of his careful choosing, which will bring him the greatest profits and influence, while showing himself as a great benefactor. For example, the first reason he gave in a TV interview as to why he turned from computers to vaccines was that vaccines give a return of 20:1. NB He also ssid that by good use of birth control and VACCINES, it would be possible to reduce the world population considerably.

Gates is as crooked as they come. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Without the heading of what those columns represent the table is meaningless. Can you share a link to the report you're quoting please?
ArtieKat · M
@WalterF Don't be so defensive! All I asked for was a heading which explained the figures.
ArtieKat · M
@GeniUs I looked - but I haven't the time or the inclination to check one set of figures against another.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@ArtieKat Sorry, friend, my bad - it's just that l have been dealing with people unlike you whose insistence on getting "the source" of every idea put forward is sickening

[c=800000]I remember the good old days of herd immunity. [/c]
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@ProfessorPlum77 It does exist. All animals are already there.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
@ProfessorPlum77 A third of the population (according to government figures) had this at the point Covid became a thing.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Because if it truly was 90% vaccinated they would not be pushing vaccines.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Entwistle Then why exemptions?
Entwistle · 56-60, M
@MrBrownstone Some folk have pre-existing conditions that don't allow them to take the vaccine.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Entwistle I’m talking about the post office
