Ahhh... it's wondrous to see that delicious sarcasm of yours again in a new post!

Djoser's step pyramid has been in my Egypt bucket list for ages. Hey, if famous Egyptologists like Salima or Zahi give this a 👍, then I am all in!
ArtieKat · M
A guarantee that it won't still be here in another 4,500 years.
Adaydreambeliever · 56-60, F
How so? I am sure it will be popular, so from that perspective it would seem a good idea. What are the downsides?
ArtieKat · M
@Adaydreambeliever Damage to the structure through erosion.
@ArtieKat ...from people urinating around it?
Curse of the mummy?
Northwest · M
They've been working on restoring the site for several years. Why do you think it's problematic to open it up for tourism?
Lhayezee · 26-30, F
@Northwest Tourists + old tombs surely can't be a good combination! 😮

(I'm kidding, it's good news)
Pfuzylogic · M
@Northwest The article stated they had been restoring since 2006 and the Covid pandemic interfered as well as the 2011 uprising.
Pfuzylogic · M
That is incredibly old even for Pyramids.
This has to give Egypt an incredible shot in the arm for tourism.
