What was the app? Some of us Americans are very invested in our gardens.
And the opposite is also like case.
Where I live is in an old historic part of town and some areas have small yards and fantastic large trees all about. That can make solar power impossible and can be quite difficult to have gardens.
As I said earlier, old, expensive homes and on my street a good amount of elderly people. We also have what’s called Victory Gardens, sort of. Victory gardens were planted all over the United States and were planted so citizens could have berries, rhubarb, onions and more so the big farms vegetables could go towards feeding the soldiers.
Anyway after that rambling paragraph above I will tell you that we still have many of those vegetables growing in our yards to this day.
Getting back to the elderly who have always gardened and now can no longer do that but still love it, I’ve been planting flowers and vegetables on their properties and at first many were very reluctant to have have my stealthy garden efforts and thought it was odd that I would plant flowers and vegetables on others property and yes it was a bit out there for a guy to wander all over the neighborhood wearing a sarong, boots and go about planting.
They began to change their opinions when I would deliver flower bouquets and fresh vegetables to them on their front porches. After a summer growing season the word spread about the crazy half naked guy doing surprise gardens in their yards and eventually someone recognized me as the neighborhood association’s Vice President of the board.
I give beauty, vegetables and now conversations to people who now embrace my Idiosyncrasies and no longer find my sarong wearing nutty ways just fine.
I love to garden and now I have 6 smaller yards in which to grow happiness.
