Every flower I've ever smelled has not smelled good

At worst they are a bit sour
at best they've smelled like salt
one supposed joy of life I've never known

Guess you try with the wrong sorts of flowers. Not all flowers has a good smell but some do smell really good

Lilacs smell good. Maybe they smell better from a distance. But I do know what you mean roses do not smell that good.

But I do believe lilacs smell pretty good.
