why resorts even with a huge maintenance and groundskeeping departments must use contractors

I get to pickup 100 whiskey barrel planters that look like shit that were cut crooked and lengthways. resort wants them off the property.. a contractor would have had to eat the mistake.. that's nearly four grand they pissed away worst part is the same maintenance crew is doing the job over

Off topic a bit but what are you going to do with those whiskey planter barrels? Thinking some might like to plant food crops such as sweet potatoes in them if they will hold dirt and can be useable. Backyard gardeners might not care so much.

@MarineBob I would love to find some here for little $ to plant sweet potatoes in, not the ornamental type but the Okinawa purple and the deep orange types. Have heard when they are planted in barrels with loose soil & kept watered they give a plentiful harvest.
