I hate sand. It's course, it's rough, and it gets everywhere. The water is usually cold and there's creepy shit living in there that you can't see very well. Honestly I think the beach would be great if you had a little shack like 50 meters inland where you could rest, eat, and sunscreen up between swims with a little outdoor shower. But the way it is, it's just too uncomfortable for me.
That said, the butts on display... never fail to please

There's no place I'd rather live than the seaside, I don't get people who hate the beach
Raffiki · 22-25, F
@natureboy3 agree.. could never live far from the sea
natureboy3 · 18-21, M
@Raffiki I used to live by the sea but had to move away😭 hopefully gonna move back someday though

I liked it when I was young. Not now. I prefer my ocean/ lake settings without the sand and heat.

Different strokes for different folks.

i don't get it, either. it's a natural antidepressant. free-style exercise, negative ions coming from the crashing waves, sunshine with the vitamin D, relaxing minerals like magnesium in the water, and imagery so beautiful.

Because the sand is rough and course and gets everywhere...

I lived in Hawaii for 2years
even then (I lived there about the time you were born)
there was a Lot to do
a lot of locals would spend 8+ hours
Every...Single...Saturday and Sunday
on the beach.
I like the beach but there's a point where we need to do something else.

Blowing sand, sunburn and the water is full of sharks, crocodiles, blue ringed octopus and Irukandji jellyfish. 😱
Gets boring after a while., Can't get out of the heat, the water is kinda nasty, disgusting crowds. Parking is expensive and so on
Raffiki · 22-25, F
@Callmewhatyouwill oh yeah... that’s definitely a very different beach experience that I wouldn’t be on board with. I’m talking perfectly clear water, often have the beach to ourselves and walking distance from home. A free day out & good for all ages

Usually nowhere with good shade, the sun is not my friend. Swimming is also very risky for me.
SnowBlack · 18-21, F
Beaches are boring. Good for half an hour tops- unless there's a raging party.
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
Unless it's really crowded the beach is usually a good time

Too much sun, wind and sweat

some people hate it because of the sand. all up in their cracks. or the salt from the ocean ruining their hair. or sunburns. my mom hated it because she thought her kids would get swept away and die. hence why I never even saw a beach until I was about 26.
Raffiki · 22-25, F
@HellsBelle Oh wow. That’s some fear :o I grew up across the street from the beach. My mom let us go swimming there without her when I was younger than 10... but she was veryyy laid back
