Decisions decisions decisions

So I’m not in a bad place mental health wise, not perfect, but not bad. However I know how easy it is to plummet if not careful.

This weekend will be a massive trigger for me, I know it will be because it is every year. It’s Father’s Day on Sunday and it hits me hard every single time. The problem is that it’s everywhere you go…on tv, on social media, in shops, pubs, restaurants. You just can’t escape from it.

So the choices do I stick it out, try to practice resilience and just push through with the occasional expected meltdown…

Or do I disappear until it’s over? Go off grid, no phone, no internet, no people until Monday?

I’m so sorry for your loss hun. Honestly, if it were me, I would probably hide until it was over. It’ll get easier with time, believe me. 🫂

@zerofuks2give it’s been 13 years and it hasn’t got easier yet 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think hiding might be the way to go

@zerofuks2give I have too much guilt linked to it, I think it will always be bad for me

@SW-User I know exactly what you mean 😢 my uncles death brought it to the surface last week but I’ve pushed that shit back down where it belongs.

@zerofuks2give that’s what I need to do, bury it and avoid
