When I go fishing at night I carry my micro binoculars and at times I sometimes think there must be a god when I look at the night sky.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
Beautiful picture and yes, I can do that at anytime as I live in a small town and we don’t have much light pollution.

It's pretty, 🤔 but I'm not gonna let those stars bully me into feeling insignificant. 😬
SW-User
@Classified good for you
Classified · M
@SW-User 😌😋
Viper · M
No because there are too many stars and not enough time :(

Plus I rather count the cute asses I see 😏
Every chance I get I stare at the stars. I find solace in hoping some of my long distance friends are looking at the same ones I am.
Darkskiescoming · 51-55, M
@Pinkstarburst I do the same. 🙂
OnePatheticClown · 51-55, M
"And the clown looked up at the stars, and he thought to himself..."
hunkalove · 61-69, M
I count all the stars I can see in the sky every night. One. And the moon. I live in a big city.
FurryFace · 61-69, M
@hunkalove ok how many stars are there ?
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@FurryFace One. Probably the planet Venus. Too much light pollution in the middle of Denver.
Darkskiescoming · 51-55, M
Yes all 300 billion in the Milky way.
Magenta · F
I do. Such a gorgeous photo.
I live in high altitude next tot he Rocky mountains. The air is ultra clear and fresh.
SW-User
@Magenta I imagine you have beautiful night skies 🌌
Magenta · F
@SW-User We do. It's amazing up there. 💟
SW-User
I deeply crave that kind of dark. Beautiful pic .....:)
xinbaba · 61-69, M
Yes. Nice pic.
Yes ever since I was a kid watching tv wondered what it would be to be like lost in space trying to find my way home thx to Dr Smith lol

SW-User
According to legend.. There's as many stars in the sky as grains of sand on the earth✨
SW-User
@SW-User the universe is a big place…I could quite believe it
Freeranger · M
I do. It's why I have a firepit. You get the best of both worlds here in the country....certainly no bright city lights to fade out the sky.
SW-User
@Freeranger it’s the best way to spend an evening
Freeranger · M
@SW-User I hear ya.....I haven't for a bit because it's been so blasted hot but, cooler weather is coming.
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
I read somewhere that there are roughly 9000 stars visible to the naked eye from earth. I don’t care to take the time to try and disprove that so I accept their count as more or less accurate 😉
SW-User
@Zaphod42 lol I’ll get counting
@SW-User Let me help you get started

vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
I haven't in a while
SW-User
@vetguy1991 you should make time for it…it’s good for the soul
vetguy1991 · 51-55, M
@SW-User agreed
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
Sadly I live in the light pollution capital of the world, so I rarely see a night sky anywhere close to that. Nice photo.
SW-User
@Ambroseguy80 I can’t imagine that, at night it’s so peaceful, quiet and pitch black where I live
Ambroseguy80 · 51-55, M
@SW-User enjoy your advantages 🌟
SW-User
@Ambroseguy80 thank you 😊
Goodgrief!
Was that taken with a camera or a phone?

That's a lot of stars!
SW-User
@OogieBoogie that was taken with a proper camera ❤️ It’s such an amazing photo of the Milky Way- such a clear night
@SW-User it's downright SPECTACULAR!

I get to see a fair amount of stars here on a clear night.... But THAT, is really awesome.

Reminds me of when I was a kid.
Thats what we'd see.

But cities grow, suburbs have more lamps... and the stars recede.

Before I moved, I lived in a place where you couldn't really see the wash of the milky way anymore, it was just a thin layer of the brightest stars.

Now I get to see it again... But no where near as brilliant as that.

I imagine there are those here who would have NEVER seen a sky like that one.

Do me a favour... Lay out there, stare at the sky, suck up starlight, and enjoy it.

More people should... It's just so beautiful 💜
SW-User
@OogieBoogie definitely whenever I think it sucks that I’m so far away from the city and don’t have the convenience…I realise just how lucky I am…people would kill to have a beach on the doorstep, the fresh sea air and the fabulous night skies. My favourite thing is to lie in the still night and enjoy the show
Mellowgirl · 31-35, F
ill take a wild guess, 600
LadyJ · F
Yes..i love looking at the stars and losing myself in my own thoughts
SW-User
