Written by a young George Clinton -before he ate everything in the medicine cabinet.
@dubkebab Wow, what a different sound from the funk for which he and The Parliaments would later be renown. Sounds good, though.

@bijouxbroussard IKR?
He ran a barbershop back then-and naturally doo-wop on the stoop was the order of the day.

I'm digging this music. I never heard these bands before as I never was exposed to them but its really soothing.

I'd love to see this thread expand so I can learn more.
@Beatbox34 These were songs they used to play on KSOL when I was a kid. For some it was their only hit.

@SubstantialKick Wow, I haven’t heard this in awhile…nice. 🙂

@bijouxbroussard I'm pretty old school. I prefer R&B from the 60s-90s over most stuff from the last 20 years.
@SubstantialKick Yes, you post some really good music.

@bijouxbroussard Do you hear an edit around :39? I do. I wore the grooves out of my Atlantic 45 when I was a kid.
@uncalled4 Very, very subtle when I played it.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard Ok. Yeah, it makes the first NA NA NA part a 16th-grace-note late. I'm assuming that there was a longer version somewhere but probably perished in the Atlantic warehouse fire.
