Was sad to hear of the news. I saw a show with his son Wolf in front of a studio crowd discussing and practicing riffs and thought he was getting better. Saw him live four times. I was in the first row of one of VanHalen's concerts when he came right up to me and just broke into this riff so I took some good shots.
I don't really have that much of a bond with him. But for me, he'll always be the symbol that united the middle east for that one cwazy southpark episode.
