How do you remember Eddie Van Halen?

He died of cancer yesterday, at the age of 65.

Grew up listening to him and aspiring to be as good a player as him
He was an inventor/innovator

He was married to Valerie Bertinelli.
Was sad to hear of the news. I saw a show with his son Wolf in front of a studio crowd discussing and practicing riffs and thought he was getting better. Saw him live four times. I was in the first row of one of VanHalen's concerts when he came right up to me and just broke into this riff so I took some good shots.
The Eruption guitar solo.

Still can't believe he got Valerie Bertinelli. At the time the perfect girl next door.

He was a good guitarist. I like Van Halen and I was saddened by the news.

Great guitarist, even after the mess with Roth, and then Hagar you couldn’t deny his talent

I don't really have that much of a bond with him.
But for me, he'll always be the symbol that united the middle east for that one cwazy southpark episode.

He will be missed.

This is long, but I watched every minute of it.

@NankerPhelge Thanks. I have that debut album on vinyl and CD.

@Azlotto I've got the CD now. I had the vinyl album about 40 years ago.
@NankerPhelge Truly masterful. I remember hearing it the first week it came out, like Wow!
