A Carpenter Made Me Think Of This. [I Love Metal]

I am doing Jewellery as my Art degree. We began with pewter and most of my skills I learnt with copper. I recently bought some silver but I haven't dared use it yet. The college gives us copper but silver we must buy and it costs a lot!

Enamel silver if you will, but if it is opaque enamel, you are wasting the silver. I know silver is costly. I bought a great deal of it during my class at Museum of Fine Arts only to discover that home soldering equipment is nowhere near as hot as the gas powered soldering they had permanently installed at school. I took the course because I wanted to learn how to bezel the stones I cut and polished myself, and melted the middle out of a costly necklace.
@4meAndyou I use cloisonne to enamel brooches. next I want to try silver. i am learning my trade.

Not being familiar with what it entails I guess you need to really plan out what you want to make.
@Elevatorpitches The most lovely glass blowing I ever seen is by Fleur Grenier. Ask them at thesussexguild.co.uk
@LilirWyddfa hey thank you for sharing that!
