Listening to Mum's Music!

I know! Eeeek! You might think your parents haven't got any musical taste. The stuff they listened to when you were growing up was...... Putain! But try listening again with your older, hopefully wiser, ears. Don't rush to judge because it's familiar! Listen! It's better than you remember, right? Better than what you're listening to of pop today!

Seventies, Eighties and Nineties music was quite diverse to what we have today! There's much more in style! It's about the same thing, getting love, respect and telling a story with lyrics so apt to how you might think! Yes, they felt like us once! Nothing changes! Mum and Dad got their act together and had me! But once they felt like I do! I'm not so unique, but I am unique! Just like everyone else!

Exactly right. Music was worth way more than it is today. Often times when you listen to the radio it‘s quite obvious that they keep doing the same songs over and over again. There is no sense of musical creativity. What shocks me the most is, that alot of young musicians nowadays name Bowie and of course the Beatles as there greatest inspiration. But when you listen to the music of those artist you notice that they haven‘t learned a thing from Bowie or the Beatles. They just keep playing the same three chords. It‘s really hard to find an artist who challenges himself.
I appreciated the music my parents listened to from the beginning. It’s today’s music that seems repetitive and derivative. Back them there was innovation and creativity.
