I never cared for concept of deluxe editions when it comes to music albums

It's nice when they add more tracks to the record (except for when they're remixes, which I hate), but if one purchases the standard edition, then they're basically paying for an incomplete album and have to pay extra if they want the full album. Imo, albums should be released with only one official version: that being the finished product. But I suppose it's all about money in the end and what better way to make a little more by withholding a few tracks on the standard released and then releasing the full version of a record by slapping a "deluxe edition" label on it? Lame.

Beck albums were memorable. Sea Change was really acoustic and not his typical style. Guero was more latin inspired and alt rock. The Information was indie + electric + hip hop and i remember the album had custom album art stickers which was different. i'm not a huge fan of Beck but I appreciate he had fun with the albums and the music he made. Agree, 'deluxe editions' and 'greatest hits' can get stuffed lol
