Aretha killed it, as usual, with her rendition of this song.

“That Lucky Old Sun” was first recorded by Vaughn Monroe & His Orchestra in 1949 and made famous by Frankie Laine, who released his version the same year. It has been performed by many artists over the years, but I doubt if anyone ever did it better than Aretha Franklin.

@Rutterman Hmmm…I just listened to the other covers(Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Frankie Laine)…& although Frankie’s cover sounds familiar, nothing compares to Ms Franklin’s. 💜
