SW- choose a genre you are comfortable with, and post up to three songs you enjoy from it.

They don't have to be the most groundbreaking genre defining songs, just ones you listen to regularly.

Thank you for the additional thoughts @SW-User, much appreciated. I'm never put off by covers either. It's the way of music, and progresses from the original which must have had a certain something already. Cheers.

Thanks for the bonus tunes @SW-User. Listening as I was brushing my teeth, I thought the first one was Joe Jackson- lol. I was taken aback a bit by the second one. What a great blend of instruments on offer.

@RoaringLion I saw both bands live in the 80s. All part of a fairly brief fashion for jazz dance.
A Certain Ratio were on Factory and started out as more indie oriented band.

Working Week were a very hyped, but not terribly successful, band.

Csny wooden ships
Donovan season of the witch
White rabbit grace slick

Are you a witch @LaLumieri? Because I am finding your musical tastes enchanting. Thank you for all the responses, I will get to each in due course. Ha, Grace Slick- a long way before "We Built This City". What an extraordinary career, I mean, come on!

@RoaringLion thank you for that compliment. I would hope some of my selections would be a good experience
......and as for being a witch....that remains to be seen...we are approaching Halloween after all😎

singer-songwriter now.

[media=https://youtu.be/JtsP8PEjdps] I can't listen to that one regularly, though.

and for something more upbeat,

The great man! Thanks for the songs @SW-User. There's definately a link between the first two- let's call it "descriptive poetry". I just hope you're doing well, please pm me if I can help. I do like your take on the third piece. There's some interesting sounds and talented musicians on that for sure.

@RoaringLion Appreciated, deeply, yet music is my therapy. I do think I should listen to Leonard a little more on this one though *wink*

What a treat to have two of your top singers posted here. Just beautiful music @Martinette. The highlight was song three for me, that ones taken me all the way to Zanadu. Thank you.

@RoaringLion Al Jarreau is good.

A beautiful trio here @HairbrushDiva. Though it features some pretty heavy social commentary, it is handled in such an imaginative and atmospheric way, that I have always found that TLC song dreamy and relaxing. My fave of the three, but really enjoyed them all. Thank you.

@RoaringLion TLC are extremely popular where I live, and "Waterfalls" is the most popular of the lot.

I feel there's a bit of an old wives tale happening here @TheSirfurryanimalWales. Genre- Folken Word? Seriously, brings the heart rate up by the end. Cheers.
RoaringLion · 51-55, M
Oh, there's more. I thought there was just one @TheSirfurryanimalWales 😅. Well, full credit to Seasick Steve. He could sure teach a lot of young folks about dynamics and balance. Awesome video too, I liked it a lot. I am new to the Gothard Sisters, but man that music and that setting, superb. Thanks for the music.
Reggae.

Thank you pilot of the airwaves @bijouxbroussard. I enjoyed this "toastin'", and the flow was great between songs too.
