People of my generation kind of looked past Elvis. But when I went to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame you go though the Elvis section and you’re like “that was a good song. …. Wow that was good too.” Then you realize how good he really was and, importantly, he irritated the right people.

Plus there’s that scene in Blue Hawaii. 😉

I never got into Elvis. No particular reason, he just did not appeal to me. Same as the Beatles.
