Comment with an old TV show that was so bad it made your hair hurt.

At least this one was funny...

MY MOTHER THE CAR?
@ChipmunkErnie It ran for a single season. I was a child and not sold on the premise.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard I looked it up and it seems the people behind it were all big names in show biz with lots of previous successes.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@bijouxbroussard I can still sing that song from memory! I think the show was one network's answer to Mr. Ed on another network. But most people, like you and me, failed to buy the premise! As I recall, the show did not even make it though an entire season.

Although it was educational, in the sense that I had never heard of Porters before! 😅

An oldie that I doubt anyone could sit thru!😂

Liking this kind of trivia :)

Wow@NativePortlander1970!
Interesting how they used their previous experiences in their films. Both great actors in their day.
@Blondily Indeed
When I was a kid, and the folks were out, I'd get high and watch that show.

How about this one...

@BrewCityBarfly

Got high then watched that Rip Taylor show?

JLC - From the Happy Days producers? Never saw this...
@rinkydinkydoink Yes, the Rip Taylor show. I know it was a parody, sometimes there were some attractive women on it, and--of course--in swimsuits. Couldn't help notice they used the exact same set as the Gong Show.

I might have watched one episode of JLC, and not because of Chachi...
@BrewCityBarfly

Never noticed that (about the set)! My dad laughed at this show like no other...

Review of Pink Lady on IMDb from a viewer -

The Top Secret Life of Edgar Briggs with a young David Jason
@rinkydinkydoink they are…I was a kid at the time and thought it was great 😀.
@TheSirfurryanimalWales

One of the comments on YouTube referring to David Jason I guess - LOL:

Is this Jason?

@rinkydinkydoink that’s him

Chicken Soup with Jackie Mason
@2ndtimeguy

Looks like Mason was the problem... go figure, eh?

Did you watch it? Any episode right through?
2ndtimeguy · 61-69, M
@rinkydinkydoink think he had like Seinfeld as a lead in and it lost over half the viewers and got worse each week he was awful to watch couldnt act.
@2ndtimeguy

He was ok - nothing special - on Ed Sullivan. I guess he was a standup comedian and that was it.

@Justmeraeagain I don't think I ever sat through an entire episode of that one!
Thodsis · 51-55, M
It's not that old, but the American attempt at The Inbetweeners was pube-straighteningly bad.
Almost forgot about another horrendous spinoff

This sounds familiar...

Right... McLean Stevenson left MASH for this?!

Reminds me of Pernell Roberts ditching Bonanza 'cause he thought he was a BIG STAR lol
@rinkydinkydoink Stevenson left MASH long before Hello Larry, the same reason why Roberts left Bonanza, his character was too much background, about the time Alda was getting more and more foreground, same thing with Radar, Wayne Rogers, whose Trapper John Character was the basis for Pernell Robert's Trapper John MD just one year later, Rogers left the show for the same reason, as did Major Burns, everyone that left got sick and tired that it became a severely Hawkeye centric show.
