What's the dumbest advice you'vee ever gotten?

Mine is probably: marry 3 times.
1st hubby gotta be handsome so he can give you pretty kids.
2nd hubby needs to be rich so you get a huge sum in the divorce settlement.
3rd hubby needs to be someone you actually love and will stay with for the rest of your life.

Go to HR with your complaint

No, unless you are the CEO or business owner, never go to HR. They aren't there for you. They are there for the company. They will minimize your issue, trying to handle it as discretely as possible and try to get you to give up your rights and agency.

Never got to HR unless your complaint is so clear cut, HR has no choice but to handle it in your favor.
