I Love Animation

馃帪 I enjoy creating animation too, but, the worst part for me is finding good voice actors. The best part is setting scenes and animating each character.

designing characters is another story 馃檮

Blender: I always rely on watching tutorials online which is annoying LOL, I believe if one wants to work in 3D modelling that enrolling in school is better than self-taught, faster too. When I first started 3D max I struggled a lot with my weak PC at that time, crashing was its main hobby that it did really well馃槀 . That was one of the reasons I like 2D more because it is lighter 馃榿

You are much better than me in modelling anyway, I have forgotten most of 3D modelling as I do focus on 2Ds nowadays. The tower looks good, but the houses look like dog's house haha :)

storyboards: it is good to write all details especially as beginner to get used to it. But not for me lol, I avoid most details, and come up with camera's position while drawing lol (no time and laziness)

I have the same problem with my voice, it doesn't sound good when I hear it so I forget about it 馃槀

I do believe I am lucky to have people to do the voices but not all of them agree to share it so i convince them by saying it is for practice only, some hate their voices too. they do not want to hear them back.

Sharing work: I think it is good to share your work, maybe not the important ones unless it is done well, I need to focus on that more myself, but things are bit messy lately haha..

festivals are out of my league too lol, I prefer social Media over festivals lol

This is an old eye movement test I've just uploaded few days ago. That was the start 馃槀

@Animator:
These eyes are cool. It makes me think about how I should focus on details too. :D

That's why I avoid dialogues as much as possible :D It spares you from a lot of problems - like you don't need to care about subtitles.

@Animator: Thank you for your reply :)

Mac: Yeah, that's why I never considered to get one. I've heard that everything has to be 'special' and that it's not compatible with anything.

3D: I see it other way around. :D Blender is super easy for me and very intuitive, while I've always felt lost in 3d max. It probably depends on what software you learn first. I had problems mainly with shortcuts that were completely different. What I don't like about Blender are its limited options for rendering. 3d max had more options with better looking results, as long as I remember.

2D: I still don't get on well with storyboards. :D That's why I didn't try to get into a film school. I know it's a very important part of movie-making but I still struggle with it. Do you study animation or is it just a hobby for you?

Would you mind showing some of your work? :)
If not, I'll understand ;)

You are welcome 馃檪 and sorry for my late replies 馃槵

Mac: Yes, what you have heard is correct lol It is strong system but kinda dictator in the same time lol Many free and paid softwares do not work on Mac which is disappointing sometimes especially when their prices are affordable.

3D: Blender is super easy and intuitive? you are lucky to see it this way 馃槣 ... Because it is very powerful free software馃槏. I have just downloaded the latest version the other day. I will give it another try. I've always found 3D max to be intuitive software lol Are you good at modelling?

storyboards: If I draw it for myself then I don't need to care about how good it is, I do understand my own mess on papers. It is hard for me to keep it look nice and detailed especially when I don't have enough time to draw everyday. I usually draw all in one day (short script/film) Once I get tired my drawing becomes like 10 years old kid馃槀. You can do just few scenes that you think are important and need to be planned like fight scenes! and romantic! I guess!.

2D animation is just a hobby for me. In fact what I am interested in is writing, directing and "lately" animating. if I have a team I wouldn't draw a thing LOL It is hard to do all the work by yourself in the same time it is good to learn all aspects in the making. I have nice friends who are willing to (act or do voice acting) but non of them is interested in anything else lol.

sharing work: When I have finished work that I am happy about 馃槀 I will upload it on YouTube. That was my plan. Then I will post it on this site .. Do most people mind sharing their works?lol have you ever shared any work online?馃檪

Blender: I feel this way about it because I had two different seminars (tutorials) in college where we used Blender. It was more helpful than watching tutorials. But my first encounter with this software was desperate as well. :D I didn't know that my graphic card driver needed to be updated so Blender crashed right after I ran it, again and again.
Why I find it intuitive is because shortcuts are assigned to the starting letter (Translate = T, rotate = R, Scale = S etc). That's why I find shortcuts in 3D max confusing. :D On the other hand, it's more useful to learn 3D max shortcuts first because if I remember well, Blender allows you to set up your own keyboard shortcuts and mouse buttons.

I don't think I'm very good at modelling but I try :D I prefer organic shapes.
Like this tower:
[image deleted] (the background is not mine :D)

storyboards: I always write detailed screenplay. All the moves of the characters. But since I can't decide on the position of the camera, I rather don't draw anything. xD

You're lucky to have friends who do voice-acting. I do everything by myself but lately I decided to avoid using my voice, as it feels so awkward. xD

Sharing: I think I share way too much (DeviantArt, Youtube, Vimeo). :D Sometimes it's a problem if you want to send your film to a festival because some of them won't accept your work if it was already published on the Internet. But this kind of festivals is out of my league anyway. xD

May I see more of your work, youtube channel..etc?

and good luck with your work too ;)
CrazyMusicLover31-35
@Animator: Of course, but be prepare for not the best animation skills, a lot of heavy, depressing stuff and some odd erotica. 馃槣 I'll PM you.

Thank you, good luck to you too.
