Why does PBS do dumb stuff like this?

For instance, take a UK tv series like "The Durrells" and say "You know what? This would sound better if we call it 'The Durrells in Corfu' over here ..." when they rebroadcast it under the "Masterpiece" banner (which itself contributes nothing either) ...

I mean if anybody watches the show for five minutes, they'll figure out it's in fvckng Corfu, that Corfu is pretty much the central premise ... 🙄

PBS, know your audience, they do not need to be spoonfed
