Tony is now gone? That sucks, I mean cause in the show "Leave it to beaver" he was basically the "wise big brother".
Real good guy ya know?

He’ll always be young Wally in my memories.
What?!!! Oh noooo. I loved Wally. He was cool. What did he die from??
CestManan · 46-50, F
@LadyGrace Some kind of cancer from what I read.

I gotta say, I have an older brother who is the "Wally" type. I am very thankful to have a good brother like that.
@CestManan Yes!! I've always wanted a brother.

I heard about that, he had cancer for a long time. No more Cleavers left, except Jerry Mathers. May he rest in peace

"“Leave It to Beaver” aired from 1957 until 1963."
I've never seen it, but I understand the fans are saddened.

I remember enjoying the show.

Another one bites the dust. RIP Tony

He wasn’t dead when it was announced, he is in hospice and his wife thought he had died and it got posted as news. I don’t know if he has passed since it was announced though.

@cherokeepatti Yes, he was breathing normally as he is in hospice care. So, we will see
According to Wikipedia: "In May 2022, he was diagnosed with cancer. On July 26, 2022, initial statements from Dow’s managers claimed he had passed away. Later, a redaction was issued due to the fact Dow’s wife prematurely reported his death, and it was soon reported that Dow is in his "last hours" under hospice care in Topanga, California."

@PhoenixPhail Calling it right now - on Sunday me-tv will have an enormous Leave it to Beaver marathon
@Slade Yeah, that sounds like something corporate would do.
Slade · 56-60, M
@PhoenixPhail it's already on it. After Adam 12 I think

The earlier report of his demise has been retracted.

Tony Dow is currently under hospice care and in his "last hours", according to his son.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Rutterman I cannot help though wonder if it will be hard to convince people when Paul McCartney dies. Like, "Yeah sure, we have never heard THAT before."

@MarmeeMarch I mean he might be as good as dead, kind of a sad situation.

When you see someone in that condition, you have to remember that he is our tomorrow just as we are his yesterday.
