I haven't seen the last few, but it does seem to me like movie studios are trying to force as many characters and cameo appearances into these movies as they can, which has notable trade-offs.
While it can lead to some pretty amusing dialogue and unique interactions, I find that it detracts from a lot of the other elements that make movies worth watching, like character development, establishing scenery, thematic consistency, and steady pacing. Things feel rushed and that definitely sullies the experience for me.
Still, I can appreciate that it's meant for entertainment and definitely has entertainment value with the banter and action sequences, even if they are overly CGI-ed. I try not to take comic book movies too seriously. It helps you enjoy the things they do get right

I found Dr Strange Multiverse disappointing. It was too CGI and I had missed out on wonda becoming the Scarlet Witch and the movie didn't really touch on that.
Never mind me, I think 1996 The Phantom, was pretty good. And Conan the Barbarian with Arny were the best comic book based movies.

Disney is what happened

It's like every 3rd to 5th one is relevant and exciting and the others are all place holders to introduce new characters and move forward some overarching plot that I don't the patience or time to follow.

Best comic turned movie was Road to Perdition

@Ferric67 Road To Perdition was basically a retelling of Kazuo Koike's Lone Wolf and Cub, but instead of being set in Feudal Japan, it's set in 1930's America.
