Wooden, but that's kind of the nature of the character.

@DunningKruger exactly

I find him a bit that way in his other films too.hiwever I do think he's a good actor. Just aloof maybe sometimes?@DunningKruger @DunningKruger

@Coralmist That's because he often plays these kinds of characters.

I think a more challenging roll is his portrayal of the game theorist in: "A beautifull mind". Way more emotional, fragile, ... and well insane.

There are other actors that also take up rolls like most of the ones that Russel Crowe did. Take Nicolas Cage, who has bigger challenge when he's not playing action movies, like "Leaving Las Vegas" and "Raising Arizona". And Keanu Reeves... who is a great example of the Steven Seagal trope. An actor that has a single facial expresion and is actually made to play a single type of character and thus kinda falls short of being a real actor (imo).

@Kwek00 I get ya on the roles he receives. I guess it's his facial expressions, for me, it can leave his characters not embodied enough or engaging. Other actors have roles similar...with action, spy, etc but don't hold back emotion wise...Denzel comes to mind. Love him. But I do enjoy Crowes films, he's definitely good. Just not my Fave.
