Cinema cheering

Have you been in a cinema where people cheer and clap during the movie? I've seen videos on YouTube with audience reactions where people are cheering and whistling. That would annoy me to no end.

If people want to clap and cheer after a movie, fine. I think it's stupid as it's just a movie. People don't clap each day when I finish work. During the movie is just annoying. You miss dialogue because people can't sit still and keep things under control for a few minutes.
Only time I've had that was in the 2nd hobbit film when they pulled the spiders legs off, I thought it was very justified lol. Otherwise yes very annoying

That's what Milk Duds are made for. A fair handful propelled at full strength are persuasive towards your stand on the matter.
Actually, when I was a child, that’s what people did after a good movie, the same way they would’ve for a live performance. I wouldn’t be annoyed now, I’d probably feel nostalgic.

@bijouxbroussard yeah I never remember anyone cheering at a cinema or clapping when I was younger. Certainly not in Australia anyway.
