Nadsat is a bizarre combination of cockney British words and Russian words. The British part makes sense because the author of the book, Anthony Burgess, was from England and the story is set in London. I have no idea how Russian got in there but it did. One of the most common words in the book and subsequently the movie is "droog", which means friend or buddy, and that's taken directly from the Russian word [i]друг[/i] which is pronoued as "druhg." They also refer to blood as "krovvie" which comes from the Russian word for blood, pronounced as "krov."
