My mother has a psychopath's brain and I remember her telling me and thinking "Yep! That explains alot".

I also think people 'over complicate' or 'over dramatise'serial killers. Like the TV show Dexter for instance. The man's a killer, he's a psychopath. "Oh be only kills bad people!!". so what? Doesn't matter. He's a killer, plain and simple, he kills because he's a killer, he doesn't feel, he's a psychopath with a compulsion for killing. Nothing 'WONDERFUL!!' or 'Clever' or 'AMAZING!!' about any of it.


Yeah they say 'serial killers are a new thing!". Bullshit! I mean what the hell do you lads like Attila the Hun and Genghis Khan were if not psychopaths of some sort. I mean there is no 'one true' type of psychopath, they're all different. But in modern society the behaviour shows out in different ways. I mean back in the day you could take up with some nasty folk and turn bandit, or join the local horde and go raping and pillaging. Or hell! Be a normal serial killer in a town or village, and the fuck the locals going to do about it? There's no DNA evidence or proper form of detection. I mean in the old days you had folk dropping dead all the time from all sorts of things, so if you went about killing folk in the dark ages, I mean, who the bleeding hell is going to be there to sort it out proper. Most likely they'll pick whoever they figure probably did it, hang him and be done with it.

Yeah I'm against the death penalty too, because blood doesn't wash away blood, it just adds more to the bucket. But yeah I wouldn't mind being put in a room with some of these fellows. Beat their fucking heads in.

It’s true. I also think each criminal is a singular case as much as we can deduce some common paterns or characteristics.
There’s nothing shown up so far that can lead us to predict that a person is gonna become a criminal.

The mention about your mother’s brain made me recall this neuroscientist who discovered that his brain looked in the scanner like the ones from diagnosed psychopaths.
You can have a tendency to develop some traits in your personality more than others bc of some tendendies you were born with but in the end, household is the one that it’s gonna modelate or trigger them.

Very much so! Each person, criminal, case etc is different. And I think too many people look at crimes as statistics, looking for patterns and such which doesn't always help you catch bad guys; because people are people and you can never predict what they're going to do. I mean person born with some bad wiring isn't a dead certain to kill, cut and eat his neighbour.

Exactly, you can have the hard wiring, you can even have the bad upbringing, but what alot of people fail to remember, is that it all comes to down to choice. And there's no predicting to any real certain degree, who's going to one day do a Ted Bundy, or go on a shooting spree at school.
