So since NYS banned plastic bags Family Dollar has stopped giving out bags of any kind. Apperently paper bags are just too much for them.

So over the past month I've grown quite a collection of red shopping baskets since I just carry my shit home in them.

Hmm, that's odd considering I went to Family Dollar yesterday and I got my stuff put in a really nice paper bag. Granted, I live in Michigan, not New York, so that may make a difference.

@Bri89 I think it might be they dont want to bother charging the nickel per bag in the counties that opted into the bag charge for local revenue. NY made it so counties can charge a nickle per paper bag if they wanted to.

Illinois was going to do that but once covid hit, they changed their minds

@SW-User NY delayed it at the beginning of covid since plastic could be repurposed as rubber gloves when they were in shortage.

I don't miss plastic bags one bit to be honest. There really is no reason to use them.
